The Poetess combines the work of 21 poetesses from around the world. For centuries the
poetess was only known as “anonymous”. One of main objectives of this project was to find
and publish the next wave of great poetesses and give their voices a name. We searched the
world through poetry websites and Facebook groups to bring these 21 together.

Where Earth Meets with the Sky, Man Meets with Nature

These free verse "poems" do not follow the traditional requirements of rhyme and meter. My sense is that, in the end, content out surpasses form. Initially, my intent was to create a "thought heirloom" for my children and their progeny in hope that future family souls I may never meet or know might at least know me through my writings. Early on, I started sharing "the poems" with my brother Clark and then, with his encouragement, began to share them with my super kids, Kiera, Jake and Trent. Then, thanks to their positive reaction, I took a leap of faith and posted a few on Facebook and sent a wider sample to close friends. Once again, I was encouraged by positive feedback all around which led me to broaden my thoughts to include publishing "the poems" for general consumption. Thank you in advance for reading them. I sincerely hope you take away a thought or two that will add to your life.Recurring themes include the folly of "Human Certainty" and my urge to always keep questioning; the absolute need for inner balance brought by continual cultivation of "Emotional Intelligence"; the human disregard for and rape of "Mother Earth" and the urgency to heal our womb of life; and, occasional "Sprinklings of Humor" and "Irony" for after all, man has proven to be both funny haha and funny peculiar. - Blair Smith

While attending a technical college, l was suffering from major depression and was homeless in transitional housing. Also, over an 18-month period, I lost 12 loved ones, including my baby sister, Phyllis, and my mother, Luvenia. I was on deferred adjudication probation with Dallas County for a crime I didn't commit, only by association. Without realizing it, I started a self-proclaim therapy by writing poems to release myself from the anguish. I hope you find relief in these writings as I do!!

Letters to Love is a modern-day collection of poetry, beautifully enhanced with the visual persuasion of photography. Both creative elements work together to describe the remarkable essence of love within self, romance, and community relationships. This book of poetry was created for the collective to inspire arouse, heal, and naturally cause reason to open the mind, imagine, daydream and reminisce. Enjoy!

The six sections found in Heart Song express genuine emotions we all experience or can relate to. The Author poetically touches on topics of relationships, loss, nature, and true love that transcend time and space, venturing out to seek the hearts of others and challenges the reader to look within their own heart. Boldly and beautifully addressing controversial topics such as; the atrocities of the holocaust, human nature and the plight of the homeless as well as the sensitive issue of abortion by gently speaking directly to the heart of the mother and her unborn child.
