Currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, KT Milnar is an author and artist living with her husband and family. KT finds joy in various creative activities like creative cooking, cross stitching, and paper quilling, which she uses as a way to procrastinate writing her manuscripts. Procrastination is one of her greatest strengths and most prevalent weaknesses. KT enrolled in culinary school with the goal of becoming a chef, but a car accident left her permanently disabled. Despite being wheelchair-bound for an extended period, she decided to pursue further education and become a counselor to assist individuals in overcoming unresolved trauma. KT used “play therapy” as a method to support children who have experienced trauma. KT is an accomplished writer known for The Madeleine Chronicles, a series of children’s books that teach therapeutic techniques to help kids develop essential coping skills for life. KT pursued art education at a school to learn illustration for her children’s books while writing The Madeleine Chronicles. Through this experience, she stumbled upon painting as a cathartic outlet for her traumatic history. It was the perfect pastime for her, as she has always sought the scientific elements in art and the artistic elements in science. KT also writes recipes in her cookbook, “Clean Cajun,” and sells her own Clean Cajun spice mix. Many of the recipes aim to preserve the nostalgic essence of her Cajun culture while adapting them to a healthier lifestyle.
Hollow Tendrils
In 2014, KT Milnar obtained a dual degree in psychology and creative writing. This book was inspired by KT’s desire to help people not live in the past. KT believes that making people feel uncomfortable is the fastest way to understand their values and the rules they have about being a human. For those who find it challenging to live in the present, are burdened by worries of the future, and find themselves trapped in memories of the past, this book is the perfect guide.
