Each and every one of us will, throughout our lives, find ourselves sitting at a crossroads. The next decision will determine the direction our lives will take, for better or worse. No one can know with any absolute certainty just what the outcome may be. Therein lies the soul of this book. Personal to all of us are the elements of choice, touched with the indifferent dictates of cause and effect. This is a genuinely heartfelt and unique book of wisdom, for within its pages and between every line of text is the underlying darkness of our journey in this life, doubt. By taking this book into your hands and not only reading what is written but listening to what is being said, a light will shine in that darkness, revealing to each of us what can only be "our own truth." Peter has taken up the challenge of telling his story of rebellion against his father and his religion, against the oppressions and shortcomings of the Communist system.

This second volume of books of this “True Story of a Novel Life from Truman to Trump” continues, as this particular baby boomer begins a new life with a new identity in the late 1970's during the period in which Tom Wolfe described as the Me Generation. While many were still seeking their fame and fortune which outweighed personal relationships during that era, the subculture of the nightlife and disco universe was also a period to “just have a good time” and the hedonistic lifestyle was glamourized not only in the media, but in the music and lyrics that reminded everyone that “If it feels good, to just DO IT!”

It really doesn't matter when you grew up, where you spent your formative years, what path you ultimately chose or plan to choose in life, as just about everyone should be able to identify with this book. A wise man once said, "Show me a man that doesn't make a mistake, and I'll show you a man that does nothing!" While artistic expression prevailed for entertainment vs. following all of the hard and fast rules associated with writing, you should thoroughly enjoy this true short story of a regular guy from the Philly and South Jersey areas, who admittedly, made some mistakes along the way but learned from them, with the fundamental goal of improving and contributing to a better life for his family during this wild ride. I certainly hope you find some of the events as amusing as I did, while also being reminded of the serious issues that face all of us and how I dealt with them. The Final Chapter (for now) is probably my favorite as it sums up the story yet informs the reader of things to come, but you will obviously need to first read the preceding chapters of the book, which is a good/easy read in order to appreciate the fate of its characters. Enjoy!
