Kathleen Belcher grew up in a loving family on a small midwestern farm. In her early teens, she came to know Jesus as her personal Savior, and in her twenties, began to learn about the infilling and working of the Holy Spirit. She briefly worked in the field of wildlife research until she married her husband and their first child was on the way at which time she was able to be a stay-at-home mother. As the author saw the disintegration of many families, saw young people turning from the Lord, and was at the point of nurturing her own family, she developed a passion for raising godly children. At that time, the Lord inspired her to begin writing a book to encourage families in their efforts to raise their children to know and serve the Lord. This book is a culmination of knowledge gleaned from over fifty years of Bible study and walking with the Lord, assisting her husband in pastoring two small churches, 37 years of parenting, twenty years homeschooling two biological daughters, raising an internationally adopted teenage son, much wisdom gained from personal experience, the testimonies of numerous other believers, and a lot of reading.

The author currently resides in San Tan Valley, Arizona, with her husband of 42 years. They rejoice that their three grown children, who are now scattered across three states, all know the Lord and are doing their best to walk out their various God-given destinies. All glory belongs to the Lord!
